Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District
High School 12:1:1 Self-Contained Transitions-Adult (18-22 yr old ) Program

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Education Teacher for our High School 12:1:1 Self-Contained Transitions Program. This is a Long-Term Substitute position with an estimated assignment from March 10, 2025, to June 2, 2025. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary instruction in functional career development and occupational skills.

  • Support students in work based learning opportunities in the community.

  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports student independence and community integration.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored instruction to meet students’ unique needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching in a similar special education program.

  • Familiarity with the NYSSA (New York State Alternate Assessment) and its administration is highly desirable.
