School Psychologist
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a School Psychologist dedicated to supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of our students. This position requires the application of problem-solving techniques, the administration and interpretation of assessments, the use of data to guide decisions, and the implementation of evidence-based interventions. The School Psychologist will collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to foster safe, positive, and inclusive learning environments for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address the academic and social-emotional needs of students.

Administer comprehensive student assessments, including initial and re-evaluations (psychoeducational evaluations).

Serve as a Sub-Committee on Special Education (CSE) Chairperson for assigned school buildings.

Actively participate in and co-facilitate the building-level Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Team.

Administer behavioral screenings, conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in collaboration with social workers and teachers.

Provide necessary information to external providers and agencies as requested.

Solid understanding of child development, learning processes, and behavior management strategies.
Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree, Certificate of Advanced Study, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.

New York State Licensure/Certification in School Psychology.

Previous experience working within school environments.
