Special Education Teacher - ESY Summer Program

About the Position
We're seeking a culturally responsive, passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students' academic progress during the summer months. The successful candidate will work two (2) hours daily with an elementary-age student during the ESY program.
Program Details

Dates: July 2 - August 12 (No school on July 4 for Independence Day)

Schedule: Most special education programs run 5 days a week

Student Hours: 8:15am - 11:15am

Teacher Hours: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Additional: One work day prior to program start for classroom setup and planning on July 1, 2025
Requirements

Valid New York State Special Education Certification

Experience working with diverse student populations

Strong classroom management skills

Ability to implement individualized education plans

Collaborative approach to working with related service providers
