Elementary Teacher (Grade 1) - Estimated Dates: August 28, 2025–March 29, 2026
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Elementary School teacher to join our community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of child development. They will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective, standards-based instruction that meets the needs of all learners.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive classroom culture that fosters student engagement, collaboration, and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) or Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2)
- Experience working with early elementary-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with colleagues, families, and support staff
