The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Science Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will teach 1–2 science classes (Earth Science or Biology) and foster a learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments and activities to enhance student learning and engagement
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including differentiated instruction and collaborative learning
- Assess and evaluate student progress through multiple measures and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress, and offer support and resources for learning at home
- Work collaboratively with a team of teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest science education research and best practices
Certifications:
- NYS certification in science (Biology and/or Earth Science)
