Teacher (Grade 6) – Leave of Absence Replacement

LOA Dates: Full Year 2026-2027
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade 6 teacher to serve as a leave of absence replacement at the middle school level. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with middle-level students and committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of adolescent development and instructional practices that support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective, standards-based instruction aligned with Grade 6 curriculum, specifically Math.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes engagement and collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and consistency across the team
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
