School Psychologist – Pashley Elementary School
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Psychologist to join the team at Pashley Elementary School. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success while working closely with educators, families, and related service providers.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct comprehensive Psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
- Develop and communicate clear, comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being.
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavioral supports and intervention plans.
- Support building-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, mental health, and student wellness.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and New York State regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Principal.
Qualifications
- New York State Certification as a School Psychologist is required.
- Strong knowledge of Psychoeducational assessment, special education regulations, and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and support staff.
- Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required.
