The Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a Tier II Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers at Pashley Elementary School.
Position Details
- Position: Teaching Assistant – Tier II
- Salary Range: $19.74/hr — $21.29/hr
- Location: Pashley Elementary School
- Hours: 6.5 hours per day
- Schedule: School year
Responsibilities
The Teaching Assistant will work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support student learning and provide assistance with classroom activities. Responsibilities may include:
- Providing instructional and classroom support to students.
- Assisting students with academic and behavioral needs.
- Supporting individual and small-group activities.
- Reinforcing lessons and directions provided by the classroom teacher.
- Assisting with classroom organization and daily routines.
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the building administration.
Qualifications
- NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate Required or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
