Elementary General Music/Chorus Teacher 1.0 Probationary
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary General Music/Chorus Teacher. We are looking for culturally responsive educators who foster a love of music and inspire students to reach their highest potential.
The Elementary Music Teacher will introduce students to the world of music through singing, movement, and playing instruments. This role involves cultivating an appreciation for music while developing students' foundational skills in rhythm, melody, harmony, and musical expression.
We are seeking dynamic educators with the appropriate NYS Music certification who can create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Using creative teaching methods, this position inspires students to explore and enjoy music, fostering growth in both individual and group settings.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lessons that align with the NYS Learning Standards for the Arts.

Teach foundational music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and musical notation.

Utilize singing, movement, and instruments to create an interactive and enjoyable classroom experience.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music with other areas of the curriculum.

Organize and direct school performances and musical events.

Communicate with families to share students' progress and foster community involvement.

Utilize technology effectively, including music education software and digital tools.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and Music Department Supervisor
