Middle School Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher (LTS) - August 28, 2025 - November 6, 2025 (Anticipated)
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a long-term substitute to cover a leave of absence for the middle-level Family and Consumer Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching practical life skills and a commitment to helping students build a strong foundation in personal wellness, financial literacy, career exploration, nutrition and responsible decision-making. The position includes grades 7 and 8.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification in FACS
- Experience working with Middle School-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with colleagues, families, and support staff
