Job Description

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher for two students in the Burnt Hills Ballston Lake Central School District for the upcoming school year. The position is for the academic year, though this may change based on individual circumstances.


Responsibilities

The teacher will work with two students and provide comprehensive educational services, including:

  • Planning and preparation of lessons and materials tailored to each student's needs.
  • Direct services with one student in the morning, a 2nd-grade student at Charlton Heights Elementary School, and one student in the afternoon, a 7th-grade student at the Middle School.
  • Grading assignments and providing feedback to monitor student progress.
  • Collaborating with school staff and parents as needed.

Please note that both students receive special services, and the specific details of their educational plan will be discussed with the successful candidates. All services will take place on-site at the respective schools.

 


Qualifications

  • A New York State (NYS) teaching certificate is strongly preferred.
  • A NYS teaching certificate in special education is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
