Position Overview
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and flexible Temporary High School Math Teacher to cover a leave from February 1, 2026 through April 27, 2026. The successful candidate will teach Algebra, Geometry, and Applied Geometry (non-Regents) while providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a supportive, engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with curriculum and standards.
- Create lessons that challenge and support diverse learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure instructional continuity.
Qualifications
- Valid state certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12 or 9–12), or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to support students with varying skill levels.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Temporary, full-time position from February 1–April 27.
- Salary and benefits per district contract and experience.
