Position Overview
Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Biology Teacher to join our high school faculty. Our district values innovation, student engagement, and a commitment to fostering a strong science program. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to develop language proficiency and cultural appreciation through engaging and interactive instruction.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
- Communicate effectively with students and families
- Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid New York State (NYS) Teaching Certification (Grades 7–12)
- Preference given to candidates with Biology and/or dual science certification
