Extended School Year (ESY) – Special Education Teacher (Summer Program)

The Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a passionate, culturally responsive, and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress and social-emotional growth during the summer months.
Program Dates:
July 1, 2026 – August 11, 2026
One additional workday prior to the start of the program will be scheduled on June 30 to allow staff time for preparation and planning.
Program Hours:
- Student Hours: 8:15 AM – 11:15 AM
- Staff Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Special Education Certification
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative approach to working with related service providers
