The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade 5 Teacher to serve as a Long-Term Substitute at Stevens Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of elementary students.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and success.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill all professional responsibilities associated with the position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid New York State Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively instruct elementary-aged students.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.
