The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Grade 1 teacher at Stevens Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of first-grade students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards and district curriculum.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and success.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and school leadership.
  • Implement classroom management strategies that encourage positive student behavior.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities associated with the assigned teaching position.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Childhood Education Certification (Grades 1–6) required.
  • Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and student development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior elementary teaching experience preferred.

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade 5 Teacher to serve as a Long-Term Substitute at Stevens Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of elementary students.

  • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and fulfill all professional responsibilities associated with the position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid New York State Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively instruct elementary-aged students.

Speech-Language Pathologist, Year-Long Leave

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Speech Language Pathologist to join our special education team, serving students at the high school level. The successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy services, evaluate student needs, and work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support communication development across settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and reports.
  • Participate in CSE meetings and contribute to IEP development.

Qualifications:

  • NYS Certification as a Speech and Language Disabilities (SLD) Teacher or Speech-Language Pathologist required.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with IEP development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for articulation, language, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and working with students with Autism.
  • Licensure with ASHA CCC-SLP
