Speech Therapist- ESY Summer

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a culturally responsive, passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team for our Extended School Year-Summer Program. Candidates must possess an appropriate NYS certification. 

The dates of ESY are July 2- August 12  (No school on 7/4 for the Independence Day Holiday.)
We will also have 1 "work day" prior to ESY beginning in order to set up your learning space and plan.

Student hours are 8:15am-11:15am and teacher/related services hours are 8:00am-12:00pm.

Strings Music Teacher (0.6 FTE)

Music Teacher- Strings .6 

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a highly motivated and passionate strings teacher to join our Fine Arts Department. This assignment includes teaching lessons and orchestra at the elementary level. The ideal candidate will motivate students, cultivating a love for music through engaging lessons and rehearsals, while emphasizing traditional techniques to teach the fundamentals of string instruction. Additionally, we seek someone that is committed to creating an inclusive educational environment, working in collaboration with faculty, parents, and administration as an advocate for student achievement within the arts.

Certifications required: K-12 Music Education 

String music background required

French Teacher 0.6 FTE

Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate French Teacher to join our middle school faculty. Our district values innovation, student engagement, and a commitment to fostering a strong world language program. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to develop language proficiency and cultural appreciation through engaging and interactive instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality French language instruction for high school students.

  • Develop lesson plans that align with New York State Learning Standards 

  • Implement a variety of instructional strategies to support different learning styles and proficiency levels.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural understanding.

  • Assess student progress using a range of formative and summative assessments.

  • Integrate technology and authentic materials to enhance language learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the World Languages department to develop curriculum and participate in professional development.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to support student learning and achievement.

  • Contribute to the distance learning network

Qualifications:

  • NYS Certification in French 7-12 (or eligibility for certification).

  • Strong command of the French language and knowledge of culture.

  • Ability to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment.

  • Proficiency in integrating instructional technology into the classroom.
