Position Overview:

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Substitute Cleaners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment in school buildings
  • Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Emptying trash receptacles and replenishing supplies
  • Assisting with setup and cleanup for school events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma; OR
  • Three months of building cleaning experience; OR
  • Successful completion of a job training or job readiness program
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Substitute - School Nurse

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Substitute School Nurse.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing health services to students and staff during the school day
  • Administering first aid and prescribed medications in accordance with medical guidelines
  • Monitoring student health needs and maintaining accurate health records
  • Communicating with parents/guardians, staff, and healthcare providers as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license required
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with children of all ages in a school setting

Compensation:

  • Paid per diem, based on the district substitute rate of $28.35/hr
