Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and flexible Temporary High School Math Teacher to cover a leave from February 1, 2026 through April 27, 2026. The successful candidate will teach Algebra, Geometry, and Applied Geometry (non-Regents) while providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a supportive, engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities - Deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with curriculum and standards.
- Create lessons that challenge and support diverse learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure instructional continuity.
Qualifications - Valid state certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12 or 9–12), or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to support students with varying skill levels.
Work Schedule & Compensation - Temporary, full-time position from February 1–April 27.
- Salary and benefits per district contract and experience.

Season: Spring 2026 The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys JV Lacrosse Coach to join our athletics program. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about mentoring student-athletes, promoting teamwork, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Planning and leading practices, drills, and team meetings.
- Coaching and motivating student-athletes in skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Supervising students during games, events, and travel, ensuring safety and adherence to district policies.
- Communicating regularly with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding expectations, schedules, and progress.
- Supporting students’ academic and personal growth in collaboration with teachers and staff.
- Maintaining equipment and facilities as needed.
- Participating in professional development and coaching education opportunities.
Qualifications: - Prior experience coaching or playing the sport preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and inspire student-athletes while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- NYS Coaching Certification
